About David Ireland, Jr.
My name is David Ireland Jr., and I’m proud to call Lincoln, Maine my home. I grew up in Penobscot County, and I’m raising my family here because I believe in the values, traditions, and community spirit that make small-town Maine special. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—building contractor, paralegal, journalist, writer, and filmmaker. As a contractor, I know what it means to manage a budget, work hard with my own two hands, and deliver results for families and small businesses. I’ve dealt with blueprints, permits, deadlines, and rising costs, and I understand firsthand how important it is to spend money wisely and get the job done right the first time. As a journalist and filmmaker, I’ve traveled across Maine and beyond, listening to the stories of everyday Americans. Those stories have strengthened my belief that government should work for the people—not the other way around. I’m running for Town Council because Lincoln deserves a government that is transparent, responsible, and accountable to taxpayers. That means keeping taxes fair, cutting waste, making town operations open to the public, and restoring the tradition of mutual aid with our neighboring towns—because when lives are at risk, helping each other is not optional. This campaign isn’t about politics—it’s about people. It’s about building a Lincoln where seniors can afford to stay in their homes, where young families want to put down roots, and where every taxpayer knows their voice matters. I look forward to listening, working hard, and standing up for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—for Lincoln.
